Wind was heavily swaying the trees. Smell of wet mud wafted into my room. The peacock was at irregular intervals making its atypical sound. A downpour was surely looming, I thought to myself. A stronger wind attacked the tree just beside my window. It was a huge Neem tree which seemed to be involved in a fight with the winds, trying to resist its force as much as it could. Though it was clear that the wind was winning the tree didn’t seem to be giving up. Oh yea! A lesson of life right there in front of you. I lately seem to be swathed with such stuff and so I can’t help but bring out this little detail which just popped into my mind.
After this sudden distraction I quickly returned to my indulgence for the week. I was reading Twilight. Again. Barely had I gone back to the world of vampires and werewolves did I hear some spattering outside. I don’t know what was with me that day. These trivial things were grabbing my attention so easily, that too while I was reading. Pretty weird. The sound grew louder and a new wave of freshness flew into the room. I had to look out.
The tiny transparent drops of water were blessing my garden with their cool-ness and wet-ness which was much needed. All thanks to the sweltering temperatures Ahmedabad is prone to.
The corners of my lips instantly curved upwards. I was beaming with happiness. Monsoon has lately become my favorite season due to the best memories of my last 2 years being associated with it. Anyways so there I was almost jumping with joy still debating with myself to get wet. My go-with-the-moment instinct won over my prudence and I rushed downstairs, unlocked the back door and launched myself into the rain.
The sheer enjoyment I got out of the whole thing was inexplicable.
Moral of the story…..let your heart take the decisions some time…lol!! :D
